Assessment methodology

The assessment of greenhouse gas emissions was carried out with consideration of the organisational boundaries based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard. All Scope 1 and Scope 2 categories as well as the following Scope 3 categories were included:

includes direct greenhouse gas emissions resulting from a company’s own activities:

Implemented reduction measures

2020: Where possible, some employees work from home.

2022: Our electricity is already 100% green electricity.

2022: Company vehicles can be converted to electric vehicles.

2022: The move to a modern company building brought with it the use of a gray water system and consistent waste separation.

2023: The job ticket for public transport is subsidized and the company is introducing a bicycle leasing scheme.

Planned reduction measures

until 2024: Raising employee awareness of the need for business travel.

until 2024: Increased use of CO2-friendly means of transportation (e.g. train instead of plane).

until 2028: Reduction of fuel consumption in the company through (partial) conversion of company vehicles to electric vehicles.

The company is aware that greenhouse gas emissions must be avoided and reduced as far as possible. Offsetting by means of carbon credits shall only be perceived as an additional – if albeit vital – measure to achieve the 1.5°C target set out in the Paris Climate Agreement. The offsetting share must be gradually reduced in this context.
