The accounting of the product was carried out in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol “Product Life Cycle Accounting and Reporting Standard” and the “Methodology for Product Carbon Footprint Calculations for Lubricants and other Specialities” of UEIL and ATIEL. using the Cradle-to-Gate approach.

Cradle-to-gate refers to the assessment of a product’s greenhouse gas emissions up to the (factory) gate’ and therefore includes only the emissions up to the point at which the product leaves the company. It does not consider use and disposal. In this case, it is also referred to as a partial PCF. This also corresponds to the recommendations of the methodology for PCF calculation of the lubricant associations UEIL and ATIEL.
