Greenhouse gas emissions assessment

Company
Reference year
01/01/2022 - 31/12/2022
Companies | Name

CP Tech GmbH
CP Immobilien GmbH

Assessment result
4,223.47 CO₂e in tonnes | p.a.
Assessment methodology

The assessment of greenhouse gas emissions was carried out with consideration of the organisational boundaries in conformity with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard. All Scope 1 and Scope 2 categories as well as the relevant Scope 3 categories were included. Materiality screening was carried out to select the relevant Scope 3 categories:

Scope 1

includes direct greenhouse gas emissions resulting from a company’s own activities:

Scope 2

includes indirect greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the generation of energy purchased and used by a company:

Scope 3

includes all emissions that are caused by activities outside the direct control of the company but occur along its entire value chain:

The calculation methodology was validated by GUTcert.

reduction measures

The company is aware that greenhouse gas emissions must be avoided and reduced as far as possible. Offsetting by means of carbon credits shall only be perceived as an additional – if albeit vital – measure to achieve the 1.5°C target set out in the Paris Climate Agreement. The offsetting share must be gradually reduced in this context.

Offsetting

The company has acquired carbon credits to offset the greenhouse gas emissions as assessed.
Offsetting period
01/01/2024 - 31/12/2024
Number of credits (1 credit = 1t CO₂e)
1,106
The number of carbon credits to offset emissions does not correspond to the total balance sheet amount here, as the company has voluntarily included more emission categories in the calculation of the greenhouse gas balance sheet than the minimum requirement for offsetting in the context of awarding the Fokus Zukunft seal. The offset quantity here relates to emissions from business activities excluding products (Scope 1 and 2, partially Scope 3 incl. capital goods).
