Climate Protection International
In 2022, our offices in Sheffield and London, UK, intensively started to introduce and implement an environmental management system within the framework of the ISO 14001 standard. To this end, an internal environmental consultant was hired and an environmental monitoring system was implemented, as well as a strategy was developed to compensate for CO2-equivalent emissions through savings measures and the use of renewable energies, among other things.

“As a company that is aware of the environmental and social impact of our activity, we make every effort to reduce our absolute emissions and contribute to the fight against climate change.” But we also understand that with today’s technology, some of our emissions are unfortunately unavoidable. That’s why, in line with the Kyoto Protocol’s clean development mechanism, we have voluntarily offset our equivalent carbon emissions from our German manufacturing and R&D sites to mitigate most of our carbon footprint. While offsetting has been the subject of criticism for years, we believe that through careful review and comprehensive review of the projects we support, we can still have a positive social and environmental impact. “In addition, we view offsetting as an important complement to our ongoing strategies to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the areas of social, environmental and governance.”
